Southern Maryland Blue Crabs News Release
Waldorf, MD - The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs announced today that they will make up their two rainouts against the Camden Riversharks from August 13th and
14th with a twi-night doubleheader on September 6th at 4:00pm from Regency Furniture Stadium.
The make-up date was originally scheduled to be an off day before the Blue Crabs kicked off their final home stand of the regular season on September 7th against the
Somerset Patriots. The two-extra games provide Southern Maryland a season-long 11-game, 10-day home stand to wrap up the home portion of their schedule.
The doubleheader will be the fourth of the season for the Blue Crabs who are 4-2 in doubleheader games this season. The Blue Crabs split doubleheaders at Camden
on July 9th and at Bridgeport on August 7th. They then swept a doubleheader from the Road Warriors at Regency Furniture Stadium on August 11th.
The Blue Crabs are now headed to Bridgeport to take on the Bluefish in a key three-game series from Harbor Yard. Game one is Thursday at 7:05 as the Blue Crabs
will send right-hander Joe Gannon (1-1, 5.59 ERA) to the hill against fellow-righty Esteban Yan (0-3, 9.75 ERA) for the Bluefish. The game can be heard on
