
Blue Bombers Release James Green; Sign Import Receiver

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import receiver Paul Hubbard and have released non-import fullback James Green.
Hubbard (6-2, 215, Wisconsin, DOB: June 12, 1985 in El Paso, Texas) was a sixth round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2008 and spent the season on their practice roster before joining the Oakland Raiders' practice roster in 2009. After being released by the Raiders following the 2010 training camp, Hubbard was picked up by the Buffalo Bills and appeared in one game, registering one reception for eight yards. He was released following last season's training camp. Hubbard spent three seasons at Wisconsin and registered 53 receptions for 936 yards and five touchdowns despite missing time in his final season with an injury.
Green signed with the Blue Bombers in 2010 and appeared in 26 games over the past two seasons, registering 29 special teams tackles.
