
Blue Bombers Add Canadian Receiver to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import receiver Cassidy Doneff to their practice roster.
Doneff (6-0, 183, Washburn, DOB: July 14, 1986 in Cochrane, Alberta) was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the sixth round (41st overall) of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft but has spent the past year playing for the Bielefeld Bulldogs in Germany after returning to Washburn University for his final two seasons. Prior to attending University, Doneff was a member of the Calgary Colts where he was named the recipient of the Wally Buono Award in 2008, which is given to the top junior football player. He set a CJFL record with the Colts, hauling in a record-high 184 catches in his junior career.
