
Blue Bomber Alumni Gerry James and Ken Ploen to Sign Autographs at Bomber Store

Blue Bomber Hall of Famers Ken Ploen and Gerry James will both be on hand to sign copied of their recently launched books on Friday, October 21st from 5pm-7pm at the Bomber Store.
James' book, titled Kid Dynamite: The Gerry James Story, profiles the youngest player to ever play in the CFL at age 17 and his story of how he went from being the recipient of the first ever Schenley award for Most Outstanding Canadian to becoming the first athlete to compete for both a Grey Cup and a Stanley Cup in the same year.
Ploen's book, titled Quiet Hero: The Ken Ploen Story, tells the tale of one of the Blue Bombers' greatest quarterbacks from his days as a Rose Bowl star with the University of Iowa to his being named Grey Cup MVP in 1961 when he scored a rushing touchdown in overtime to seal the deal for the Blue Bombers.
Both books will be on sale at the Bomber Store and available for autographs by the legends themselves.
Out of town orders can be processed here and fans can insert their requests to have them autographed in the comment section. This option is only valid until 6pm CST on Friday, October 21st.
The Bomber Store is also starting its end of regular season tent clearance sale, featuring Blue Bomber merchandise as low as $5.00 with selected items as much as 80% off. The sale starts Friday and continues all day Saturday.
The Winnipeg Football Club is also happy to announce that James will be the honourary captain during the Blue Bomber game against the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday as the two teams battle for first place in the East division. It will be a special day for James as he turns 76 on that day.
