
Blazers Win Fifth Straight At Home

Shayne Wiebe scored twice and added two assists as the Blazers built a 2-0 first-period lead en route to a 6-1 win over the Cougars on Wednesday night at ISC - their 5th straight home win.
CJ Stretch and Tyler Shattock staked the home side to a 2-0 lead 11 minutes in before Brett Connolly cut the lead to 2-1 early in the second. Brendan Ranford and Shayne Wiebe then scored powerplay goals 9 seconds apart to put the Blazers up 4-1 after 40 minutes. Jake Trask and Shayne Wiebe rounded out the scoring in the third.
Final shots were 45-23 Cougars with Justin Leclerc making 44 saves in victory while Kevin Armstrong took the loss. The Blazers were 4-for-4 on the PP and 4-for-5 on the PK.
