Kamloops Blazers News Release
The line of Steve DaSilva, Andrew Bailey, and Mike Stickland combined for 8 points as they figured in on all three goals en route to a 3-2 win over the Blazers on Saturday night at ISC.
Brock Nixon opened the scoring on a first period powerplay before the Ice struck twice - including with 8 seconds left in the first - to take a 2-1 lead. DaSilva's second of the game midway through the second put the Ice up 3-1 before Wiebe brought the Blazers back to within a goal late in the middle period.
The Blazers outshot the Ice 14-8 in the third period - and had 5 powerplay chances - but could not score the tying goal.
Final shots were 34-29 Blazers with Kris Lazaruk getting the win and James Priestner taking the loss.
The Blazers were 1-for-7 on the PP and 3-for-4 on the PK.
Next up: a trip to Kelowna next Friday.
