Kamloops Blazers News Release
The Blazers outshot Prince George 34-14 en route to their 5th consecutive win - 4-1 over the Cougars on Friday night at ISC.
PG opened the scoring on a first-period powerplay goal by Marcus Watson only to have Juuso Puustinen score his 11th of the season - on the PP - to tie the game late in period one.
In the second, the Blazers outshot the Cougars 13-2 and took a 2-1 lead on Brock Nixon's 10th of the season at 12:16. That lead would hold until early in the third when Travis Dunstall capitalized on a PG turnover to put the Blazers up 3-1 on his 6th of the year. Tyler Shattock added his 6th of the season at 5:16 of the third to close the scoring.
Both teams were 1-for-8 on the PP. Justin Leclerc picked up the win while Real Cyr took the loss.
Next up: the Kootenay Ice on Saturday night at ISC.
