
Blazers knock off Hitmen, 5-1

Scott Wasden scored twice and Kenton Dulle had a 3-point night as the Blazers built a 3-0 lead en route to a 5-1 win over Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday night at ISC - their 3rd straight win. Jimmy Bubnick and Wasden staked the Blazers to a 2-0 first period lead with Wasden's 11th of the season putting the Blazers up 3-0 at 14:05 of the second. Joel Broda cut the lead back down to two on a powerplay with Dulle restoring the 3-goal advantage just 2 minutes later. CJ Stretch put the game away a goal midway through the third. Final shots were 26-26 with Justin Leclerc getting the win and Martin Jones taking the loss. Brendan Ranford chipped in with 2 assists.
