Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades (47-16-3-1) have jumped back into the 6th spot in this week's CHL Top 10 rankings.
With two wins on the road in Brandon this past weekend, the Blades pulled to within one road win of tying the WHL record for most road wins in one season with 28. The Blades went into Brandon and pulled off a 4-3 win thanks to superb goaltending by Braden Holtby and then went on to defeat the Wheat Kings 8-1 the next night.
The Blades hold a 6 point lead over the Wheat Kings for first place in the East Division. With their fate in their own hands, the Blades have 5 games remaining in the regular season to secure their first Division Pennant since the 1994-95 season.
The Saskatoon Blades travel to Prince Albert on Friday night before returning home Saturday night to face the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Tickets are available by calling 938.7800 or by visiting ticketmaster.ca.
