
Blazers Hang On and Defeat Silvertips 3-2

Blazers forward Rick Kozak tallied 2 goals and goaltender Geoff McIntosh made 23 saves as the Kamloops Blazers hang on to defeat the Everett Silvertips 3-2 at Sport Mart Place in Kamloops, B.C. on Sunday night. With the loss, the Silvertips remain in 2nd place in the U.S. Division with a record of 32-26-8-2.
In the loss, Tyler Dietrich added 2 assists while Mitch Love and Barry Horman tallied goals for the Silvertips. The Silvertips outshot the Blazers by a margin of 25-24 in the hockey game. Everett went 1 for 6 on the power play and Kamloops went 1 for 4 on the extra man advantage.
The Silvertips will be back in action on Wednesday, March 10th when the Tri-City Americans come to the Everett Events Center in a battle for first place in the U.S. Division. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
