
Klassen named Greyhound WHL Player of the Week

Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is forward Chad Klassen of the Spokane Chiefs. Klassen earned player of the week honours by recording four goals and six points in two road games including a power-play goal, short-handed goal and a game-winning goal during the week of March 1st to March 7th. Klassen helped the Chiefs capture the final playoff berth in the U.S. Division.
On Saturday, March 6th, Klassen recorded a goal and an assist in a 2-0 shutout road win against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
On Sunday, March 7th, Klassen recorded a hat-trick and added an assist in a 6-3 victory against the Winter Hawks in Portland.
Klassen, an 18-year-old from Warman, Saskatchewan, is eligible for the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
