Blazers come back on Rockets

The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night, coming from behind to snare the victory with a late goal in regulation and two more in the shootout.

The Rockets led 3-2 late in the third period before CJ Stretch tied the game at 3-3 with a goal with just 22 seconds remaining in the third period, forcing a scoreless overtime and then the shootout. Only Geordie Wudrick scored for the Rockets in the shootout.

Antoine Corbin and Brett Bulmer scored in the second period as the Rockets took a 3-2 lead into the dressing room after two. Mitchell Callahan scored in the first period for Kelowna. Stretch scored twice for Kamloops while JC Lipon had the other marker.

The Rockets are idle until next Friday night when they host the Calgary Hitmen before hitting the road for a five game road trip.
