Reno Aces News Release

Reno, NV - Blaze Alexander drove in six on a grand slam and a two-run double in a 14-3 Reno Aces (42-31) win over the Albuquerque Isotopes (27-46) Friday night at Greater Nevada Field.

Alexander's cosmic swing highlighted a seven run first inning for the Aces. Reno didn't make an out until the eighth batter of the frame, a run consisting of four singles, a walk, an error, and the Alexander grand slam. In front of the largest crowd of the season, Reno's offense delivered right out of the gate.

Dominic Canzone drove in four more runs on two hits, including a two-run double in the second. Buddy Kennedy went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk while Phillip Evans singled in two and walked twice in the win. P.J. Higgins had multiple hits for his third straight game, going 2-for-4 with two driven in and a walk.

Konnor Pilkington was in control throughout his start, firing five innings of two-run ball with five strikeouts. The only blemish for Pilkington came on a two-run homer from Michael Toglia. The lefty had his fastball working and stayed ahead of the Isotopes, working his way to his second win since joining the Aces.
