Blades Sign Forward Legault, Two Recalled

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that the Everblades have signed forward Jay Legault and defenseman Peter Reynolds has been recalled by the Everblades AHL affiliate Lowell Lock Monsters. Also, goaltender Daniel Boisclair was recalled by the Everblades NHL parent club Carolina Hurricanes and reassigned to Peoria (ECHL) and forward Stuart Pietersma was suspended by the ECHL for one game after receiving a major slashing penalty last Saturday night. Pietersma will miss Friday night's game at TECO Arena.

Legault, who hails from Peterborough, Ontario, has seen action in 191 games in the American Hockey League and has notched 48 goals and 49 assists for 97 points in 3 seasons. His last stop in the AHL was in Milwaukee where he played in 43 games during the 2001-02 season and Cincinnati where he played in 21 games. He was sidelined with an injury during the 2002-03 season. The 6'4" 210 pound forward will wear #19 and be in the lineup on Friday when the Blades take on the Charlotte Checkers at TECO Arena at 7:30 PM.

In related news, the Everblades will host a Thanksgiving canned food drive in conjunction with Boy Scout Night at TECO Arena on Saturday night. Fans are encouraged to bring a non perishable item to donate to the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Florida hosts their annual Shootout Golf Tournament at Raptor Bay Golf Club on Sunday, November 16th at 1PM.
