TAMED: Three Saskatoon Blades scored their first goals of the season in a 5-3 victory Friday at SaskTel Centre against the Prince George Cougars.

Forwards Rowan Calvert and Misha Volotovskii, along with defenceman Charlie Wright ended their goalless droughts, while captain Trevor Wong earned first star honours with three assist on the evening.

Sophomore netminder Austin Elliott earned his second win in as many nights making 26 saves. The 6-foot-2 goalie now boasts a 8-3-0-0 record.

Saskatoon is now tied for the most points in the Eastern Conference alongside the Moose Jaw Warriors with 20. It's a statement win for the Blue and Gold who contained the league's most dangerous offence and took down the top team in the Western Conference.

NEXT GAME: The Blades enjoy a rare Saturday off before welcome the Rwgina Pats for PokeCheck's Birthday Sunday at SaskTel Centre!
