'Blades Named ECHL Ticket Department of the Year; Mike Kelly Named Ticket Executive of the Year

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades are pleased to announce Thursday that the team is the recipient of the 2015-16 ECHL Ticket Department of the Year award, while Mike Kelly (pictured above far left) is the recipient of the ECHL Ticket Executive of the Year award. Additionally, the Everblades were named finalists in other league award categories for ECHL Marketing Department of the Year and the ECHL Social Media Award. Everblades Season Ticket Sales Coordinator Carli Faust was also selected as a finalist for Ticket Executive of the Year.

This marks the third time the Everblades have received the ECHL Ticket Department of the Year award. The team also won the award in 2006-07 and 2011-12. The Everblades sold over 2,300 full-season equivalents during the 2015-16 season, including a league-leading 560 new equivalents. Florida sold over 33,000 group tickets over the course of the season and had two sell-out crowds, the team's first since the 2012 Kelly Cup Finals. The team also won the FSE Frenzy and the Group Tickets Frenzy which were two league-wide competitions that took place during the season.

Senior Account Executive Mike Kelly becomes the first Everblades staff member to receive the ECHL Ticket Executive of the Year Award. The award is presented to an individual who has experienced success with the ticket sales process. The winner is selected by a vote of league general managers and ticketing managers. The 2015-16 season was Kelly's first with the Everblades. He joined the team after spending eight years in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch and Springfield Falcons, where he served in Sales and Broadcasting roles. A dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Kelly has previous ECHL experience with the South Carolina Stingrays and Mississippi Sea Wolves highlighted by broadcasting two All-Star Games and receiving the 2003-04 Media Relations Director of the Year award.

The Everblades' ticket sales department is led by Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chris Palin and Director of Sales Trent Ferguson and is comprised of Senior Account Executive Mike Kelly, Senior Season Ticket Sales Coordinator Carli Faust, Season Ticket Service Coordinator Brittany Moore, Video & Creative Services Manager Emily Davies, Events and Marketing Manager Nichole Lovetro, Corporate Partnerships/Media & Community Relations Coordinator Lexee Rogers, Sales Associates Casey Escarcega, Abbey Kortz, Jacob Crotty and Public/Community Relations Manager & Broadcaster Alex Reed.
