
Blades Lose Tight Battle vs Winterhawks

UNTIL NEXT TIME: The Saskatoon Bladescouldn't surmount a third period deficit, losing 3-1 to the Portland Winterhawks at SaskTel Centre. Rookie goalie Austin Elliott was solid in the crease with 17 saves on 19 shots. The defeat brings Saskatoon's record to 26-7-2-1, good for third in the Eastern Conference.
VAUGHN WATTERHOT: Forward Vaughn Watterodt scored his 16th goal in his past 20 games. Up to 17 goals and 28 points this campaign, the second year Blade seems unstoppable right now.
NEXT GAME: The boys in blue travel to Regina Friday Jan. 13th to face the Pats, before returning home the following night for a game against former member Kyle Crnkovic and the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Puck drop for both games is 7:00pm.
