Bedard's Final Game in Red Deer Headed Toward Sellout
January 12, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Red Deer Rebels News Release
RED DEER - Fans wanting to see hockey phenom Connor Bedard play his likely final game in Red Deer are encouraged to act quickly.
Tickets are going fast and are already 75 per cent sold for the January 31 tilt at the Peavey Mart Centrium where the Red Deer Rebels will host Bedard and the Regina Pats. The game is expected to be completely sold-out days well in advance of game day.
Barring a potential playoff matchup between the Rebels and Pats, the January 31 game will be Bedard's last in Red Deer as he is expected to be the first overall pick at the 2023 NHL Draft and play pro next season.
"It's exciting to see the response from local hockey fans for what will be an exciting game," says Troy Gillard, Rebels Director of Broadcasts and Media.
"Fresh off his sensational performance at the World Juniors, it's easy to see that fans everywhere are anxious to see Bedard in action. We strongly recommend that fans act soon to avoid being disappointed."
Bedard leads the Western Hockey League with 70 points in just 29 games played. The North Vancouver, BC native broke several records while piling up 23 points in seven games at this month's World Juniors, leading Canada to a gold medal championship.
Tickets for the January 31 Rebels/Pats game at the Peavey Mart Centrium are available through ticketsalberta.com. Fans can also visit reddeerrebels.com or call 403-341-6000.
