Blades D-Man Lawson Recalled to Charlotte

ESTERO, FL- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that defenseman Kyle Lawson has be recalled to the American Hockey League by the Charlotte Checkers.

Lawson has skated in 18 games with the Everblades this season picking up four assists and eight penalty minutes. The 23-year-old is in his first full professional season although he did make his pro debut in 2009-10 playing in 10 games with the Albany River Rats of the AHL where he tallied one assist.

The call-up to Charlotte is the second one this season for Lawson. In late November the New Hudson, Michigan native saw action in two games with the Checkers.

Prior to joining the pro ranks Lawson spent four years at the collegiate level at the University of Notre Dame where he had 90 points in 161 games during his four years.
