BUS LAG: The Saskatoon Blades dropped their opening game of the U.S. road trip 4-2 at Town Toyota Center against the Wenatchee Wild.
Forward Misha Volotovskii scored a shorthanded tally in defeat, giving him three goals in his last four games. The 6-foot-2 winger has six points (4G, 2A) in 22 games this season.
Linemate Tyler Parr recorded an assist giving him one in each of his last three games.
Netminder Austin Elliott was handed his fourth loss in a 30-save performance. The 19-year-old from Strathmore, AB has a .911 save-percentage and 2.33 goals-against-average.
NEXT GAME: The Blades rip west for a game tomorrow night against the Everett Silvertips at the Angel of the Winds Arena. It's the first game against former Saskatoon netminder Ethan Chadwick since he was traded to the Silvertips in May 2023.
