
Blades Aqcuire Defenseman Torney from Florence

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that the Everblades have acquired defenseman Mike Torney from the Florence Pride (ECHL) for cash.
Torney (5'11" 191 lbs.) has seen action in 35 games this season in Florence and has registered 1 goal and 9 assists for 10 points. The Raynham, MA native has played in Florence for most of his 3 year professional career after completing four years at the University of Vermont (NCAA). Last season, Torney played in 14 games with the Cleveland Barons in the American Hockey League and registered 23 penalty minutes. He will join the Blades this weekend for their pair of games versus the Columbus Cottonmouths.
