Florida Everblades News Release

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that Florida has acquired defenseman Tom Reimann from the Alaska Aces (ECHL) in exchange for defenseman Jon Insana and forward Chris Heisten. Last season, Reimann represented the Greensboro Generals during the 2004 ECHL All-Star game and tallied nearly a point a game registering 33 points in 43 games including 71 penalty minutes and a +9 plus/minus rating. He is the cousin of former Everblade Dan Reimann who was with Florida for 59 games during the 1998-99 season.

Reimann is the fourth player added to the roster by Florida for the upcoming 2004-05 campaign joining forwards Keith Anderson, Brandon Coalter and defenseman Mark White. "Tom is a skilled offensive minded defenseman and will be a tremendous asset to our defensive corps, he put up some big numbers last season as a rookie and we look forward to having him in an Everblades uniform next year," stated head coach Gerry Fleming. Prior to his professional career, the Blaine, MN native played in the Everblades College Classic college tournament held at Germain Arena and was teammates with Heisten during his collegiate career at the University of Maine. Reimann played four seasons with the University of Maine Black Bears from 1999-2003.
