CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Chattanooga Lookouts' comeback fell short, 8-7, to the Birmingham Barons on Saturday night from AT&T Field.

Byrd Tenerowicz got the ninth started with a hit by pitch. Ivan Johnson then drew a walk and Chuckie Robinson got the two-out walk to load the bases. James Free hit a two-run single to cut the lead to one but Edgar Navarro got the final strikeout of the night to leave a pair on.

Robinson paced the Lookout offense with a 3-for-4 day, a double, home run, and RBI. Tenerowicz went 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of RBIs and Free finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Connor Curlis got the start and loss for the Lookouts pitching six innings allowing five hits, four runs (three earned), a walk, and three strikeouts.

Yoelqui Cespedes led the Barons' offense with a 2-for-4 day with a home run and two RBIs.

Declan Cronin got the win for the visitors pitching two innings of relief with two hits, no runs, two walks, and a strikeout. Edgar Navarro picked up his first save of the season with an inning allowing a hit, two runs, two walks, and three strikeouts.

Birmingham improves to 16-28 while Chattanooga falls to 24-20.

The two teams meet in the series finale tomorrow beginning at 2:15 p.m.
