CONEY ISLAND, NY - On Jackie Robinson Day in baseball, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, earned a come-from-behind 4-1 victory over the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Friday night at Maimonides Park in the third game of a six-game set.

KEY PLAYS

Nic Gaddis drilled a two-run double to left-center field in the bottom of the fifth to reverse a 2-1 deficit and give the Cyclones a 2-1 advantage.

Leading 2-1 into the bottom of the eighth, the Cyclones tacked on two insurance runs, with Wilmer Reyes and JT Schwartz scoring on errors to make it 4-1.

Jersey Shore took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth when Nick Matera drove in DJ Stewart on an RBI single against reliever Evy Ruibal.

The Brooklyn bullpen added 5 1/3 scoreless innings to their tally and have now tossed 25.1 straight scoreless innings.

Warren Saunders and Tanner Murphy each made their 2022 debuts.

Nic Gaddis, who left eight men on base on Wednesday night, collected his first hit of the season with the two-run double in the fifth.
