
Bisons Place INF Daniel Murphy On DL, Add C Juan Centeno

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they have placed INF DANIEL MURPHY on the disabled list. Murphy suffered a high grade MCL tear in his right knee during the Bisons game against the Syracuse Chiefs on Wednesday, June 2.
The Bisons also announced that C JUAN CENTENO has been promoted to the club from the Single-A St. Lucie Mets.
Centeno, 20, is a left-handed catcher in his fourth professional season with the Mets. He was drafted by New York in the 27th round of the 2007 draft. This year, Centeno has hit .200 (7-35) with one RBI in 11 games with St. Lucie.
Murphy had hit .294 (10-34) with three doubles, a home run and eight RBI in eight games since joining the Bisons.
