Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The sixth-place IronPigs (20-33) return home for an eight-game homestand to play Game One of a four-game against the fourth-place Charlotte Knights (23-32) -- the White Sox top affiliate. With a 3-1 win yesterday, the 'Pigs won two* straight games to split the series at Toledo. After starting the trip with a season-long, six-game losing streak, the Pigs finished 2-6 on the eight-game, West Division swing. Still, Lehigh Valley has gone just 9-19 in its last 28 affairs... Charlotte won a rain-shortened, 3-1, game last night to split a four-game series in at Pawtucket. Since the series against the Pigs, the Knights have gone just 7-13 in their last 20 games.
LHP Joe Savery (1-4, 4.41) gets the nod for LHV against RHP Lucas Harrell (1-6, 4.83).
First-Pitch tonight is 7:05 p.m. for Friday Night Fireworks, as presented by Total Home Improvement.
