Bisons offer Buy One, Get One Tickets with Children's Book Donation

The Buffalo Bisons are giving fans an opportunity to receive a Buy-One, Get-One Free ticket for a donation of a "News Books for Kids."

From Monday, April 9-Thursday, April 12, fans can donate a new book for children up to 12 years of age at the Bisons Ticket Office and receive a buy-one, get-one ticket offer any Herd game in April or May. The books will then be donated to "News Books for Kids," who will distribute them to needy Western New York children who will benefit most from discovering the love of reading.

All four Bisons home games during the promotion are 1:05 p.m. starts. That week is also Anderson's presents Kids' Week at Dunn Tire Park. There will be special programs, $6 tickets and food and merchandise specials for children each game.

Monday, April 9 will be Sabres Day at Dunn Tire Park as fans are encouraged to wear their Sabres gear, watch team highlights on the Bisons Big Board and visit with SabresTooth. The Buffalo Zoo will stop by on Tuesday, April 10, and all children aged 12 yeas old and younger that attend either game on Tuesday, April 11 or Wednesday, April 12 will receive a free kids one-day admission ticket to Martin's Fantasy Island Park.

"News Books for Kids" has distributed over 1.3 million books to needy children since it was established in 1995. The Buffalo News, Project FLIGHT and Buffalo State College are partners in "News Books for Kids." The program is also sponsored by Quebecor World Buffalo and Wegmans and co-sponsored by Barnes & Nobles, the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library, The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County and the Junior League of Buffalo.
