LOUISVILLE, KY- Louisville used 11 hits, including home runs by second baseman Mark Bellhorn and right fielder Bubba Crosby to defeat the Toledo Mud Hens Friday night 8-2. Despite a game time temperature of 35 degrees, 6,686 fans turned out at Slugger Field tonight.
Eight Louisville batters put the ball in play as the Bats jumped out early and never looked back. Bellhorn went 2-for-5 with four RBI. Bats' center fielder Dewayne Wise had a triple in the first inning, part of a 2-for-4 night with one RBI.
The Mud Hens managed only two hits falling to 0-2 to start the 2007 International League season. Both of Toledo runs were unearned, courtesy of Bats' throwing errors.
