vs. THE BATS: The Bisons can pick up a season-series victory over the Bats with a win today in this, the final matchup between the Bisons and Louisville this season. The Bisons' slugger is averaging .415 (17-41) with a 1.000 slugging percentage with runners in scoring position. Twelve of his league-leading 23 extra-base hits this season have come with runners in scoring position (six doubles, six home runs). Hessman has hit in all seven games this current roadtrip with a .333 batting average (9-27).
HIT MACHINE: OF JESUS FELICIANO collected three singles yesterday, his second three-hit game in this series against Louisville. Feliciano is now hitting .360 (32-89) this season, the second highest batting average in the International League. The outfielder trails Durham's INF HANK BLALOCK by just .002 for the top spot in the IL. Feliciano led the IL with 154 hits in 2010.
HIT CREW: Each Bisons' position player in the lineup yesterday picked up a hit. The top four in the Bisons order -OF JASON PRIDIE, OF JESUS FELICIANO, INF MIKE JACOBS and INF MIKE HESSMAN- combined to go 8-17 (.471) with seven RBI. The Herd has averaged .291 as a team so far in May.
