TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the finale game of a two-game set from McCoy Stadium (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is looking for the split after last night's tough loss in 10 innings. On the mound will be LHP Cliff Lee, who collected his first Bisons win this year with six innings of work on Saturday. Pawtucket will counter with RHP Devern Hansack.

FIVE LEFT: After tonight, the Bisons will head to Rochester for a four-game series that will wrap up the 2007 regular season. The Herd is 1.5 games out of the Wild Card race.

IL BATTING RACE: Ben Francisco's led in the IL batting race is a single point. The Bisons outfielder is hitting .320 while Richmond's Martin Prado is at .319 after a 3-4 performance last night against Durham. Both players have five games left. The last Bisons batter to win a batting championship was Mark Ryal, who hit .334 in 1990 in the American Association.

SOLID STARTER: LHP Cliff Lee allowed just one run on five hits in six innings of work on Saturday. It was the southpaw's first win in seven starts with the Bisons this year. Lee has struck out 44 batters in only 36 innings of work with the team.

BY ANY OTHER NAME: Mike Rose hit his third home run in five games last night. The catcher has averaged .352 (19-54) in 15 games since August 9 with four doubles, three home runs and 12RBI. He's raised his average 22 points from .239 to .261.

HIT STREAK: Andy Marte comes into tonight's game with a nine-game hit streak -the longest active streak on the team. Since August 21, he has hit .433 (13-30) with three home runs and 11RBI. He has also scored eight runs in the nine-game stretch. Marte is hitting .308 (32-104) in 28 games in August -50 points higher than his average in any other month.

SUPER JOE: Joe Inglett has four triples in his last six games and now ranks T3rd in the International League with nine on the season. Inglett's two-run triple last night was his 20th as a Bison, the most in the team's Modern Era. Inglett has driven in 23 runs in his last 19 games and is 4th on the team with 52RBI on the season.
