TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Scranton/WB Red Barons in the third game of an eight-game in seven-day series (7:05 p.m.). The first five games are being played at Dunn Tire Park before the set shifts to Lackawanna County Stadium on Friday. On the mound for Buffalo tonight is RHP Jeremy Guthrie, who allowed just one run in eight innings on Thursday but lost to Ottawa, 1-0. The Red Barons will counter with RHP Scott Mathieson, who has won all three of his starts with Scranton/WB.

FAMILIAR FOES: The Bisons will play the final 14 games of the 2006 regular season against teams within the International League North division. At 38-28, the Bisons have the best divisional record in the North.

HIT STREAK: Jason Dubois enters play tonight with a nine-game hitting streak where he has averaged .387 (12-31). On the year, Dubois leads the Bisons with 21 home runs (4th in IL), 83RBI (T3rd in IL) and a .494 slugging percentage (5th in IL).

ERA CHASE: Jeremy Guthrie enters tonight's game with the fifth best ERA (3.09) in the International League. In his last five starts, he is 3-2 with a 2.02ERA with 24 strikeouts and only 19 hits allowed in 35.2 innings of work.

HOT BAT: Kevin Kouzmanoff went 2-3 in yesterday's night cap and is now 15 for his last 27 (.555). He is hitting .394 (26-66) with a .773 slugging percentage in only 18 games (7 doubles, 6 home runs) with the Herd.

IN THE BOOKS: Ben Francisco had an RBI-double in the completion of the suspended game from June 25. Despite the fact that his hit streak ended on July 8, the double counts for June 25, thus extending his hit streak at the time to 25 games. Francisco hit .324 (.324, 34-105) over the span, the second longest hit streak in the Bisons Modern Era (Alex Ramirez, 28-games, 1998).
