TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons host the Charlotte Knights in the third game of a four-game series from Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd is 2-4 so far on this homestand, which began with a four-game split against the Toledo Mud Hens. Starting Tuesday, the Bisons begin an eight-game roadtrip with four in Louisville and four in Indianapolis.

vs. KNIGHTS: The Bisons are 2-4 against the Knights this season. The two clubs split a four-game set in Charlotte from May 11-14. The series has gone in pairs as the Knights won the first two matchups, May 11-12, only to have the Bisons win two straight to split their first series. The Knights have won the first two games of the series at Coca-Cola Field.

OLSON : LHP GARRETT OLSON gets the start today, his 19th of the season. Olson was moved to the bullpen since the break and has delivered three scoreless relief appearances. The southpaw has not pitched since April 17 when he tossed a pair of shutout innings against the Mud Hens. Olson faced the Knights on May 11 in Charlotte and struck out a season-high 10 in a no-decision. He worked a season-best 6.2 innings and yielded one run on four hits.

SILKY: In 27 games since June 21, INF JOSH SATIN has posted a .528 on-base percentage that is 23 points better than any batter at Triple-A. It's also the second highest mark during that time in all full-season leagues (MLB and MiLB), trailing only Single-A Frederick's Ty Kelly (.538). Satin has drawn 31 walks and collected 34 hits and a .374 average during the stretch. With 13 extra-base hits since June 21, he also has a .659 slugging percentage and a 1.188 OPS.

NAVARRO: INF OSWALDO NAVARRO has hit in five straight games and eight of his last nine. Since June 28, the infielder has averaged .321 (9-28) with three doubles, a triple, two home runs and eight RBI.

BISONS BITS: RHP MATT HARVEY is 2nd in the IL with 112 strikeouts. The total is already tied for the 7th most by a Bisons pitcher in the modern era...LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON has made six consecutive scoreless appearances. Since July 7, the southpaw has yielded just five hits in 5.0 innings. He's also pitched scoreless baseball in 13 of his last 14 games out of the bullpen.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (47-47) lost 8-5 to the Dodgers yesterday afternoon. Promoted before the game, former Bisons RHP JEREMY HEFNER allowed a pair of runs in two innings of relief. The Mets announced last night that they will recall Bisons RHP Elvin Ramirez before today's 1:10 p.m. series finale against Los Angeles.
