Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Columbus Clippers in the second game of a three-game series from Huntington Park (6:35 p.m.). Buffalo won the series opener last night, 7-4, to improve to 12-5 in their last 17 games. The Bisons are 13-11 on the road this season, with the 13 wins one shy of Louisville for the most road wins in the IL.

Last Game (BUF 7, COL 4)

The Bisons rallied from three runs down to defeat the Clippers, 7-4. C A.J. Jimenez broke a 4-4 tie with a three-run homer in the 8th inning. Four Herd relievers combined to allow just one hit in four innings of work with rehabbing Blue Jays' LHP Aaron Loup earning the victory.

vs. Columbus (1-0)

The Bisons will face the Clippers only six times this season, all of which will happen in a nine-day stretch from yesterday to June 1. Buffalo has won the season series each of the last four years, with a 4-3 record in 2015. The Bisons are 17-11 (.607) against the Clippers at Huntington Park, which opened in 2009.

Chris Leroux

RHP Chris Leroux has won each of his last two starts for the Herd. In his last road test, May 14 in Norfolk, the righty retired the first 10 batters he faced as part of five scoreless innings of work. He matched his season high with six strikeouts in his last outing, a win over the Pawtucket Red Sox on May 19 at Coca-Cola Field.

A.J. Jimenez

C A.J. Jimenez reached base three times last night, adding a walk and a double to his clutch 8th-inning home run. Jimenez has hit .407 (11-27) over his last eight games since May 13, with five doubles, seven RBI and a .704 slugging pct. Jimenez is hitting .344 off lefties in 2015.

Domonic Brown

In his last six games, OF Domonic Brown has collected seven hits and four walks while only striking out once. The veteran has hit .318 (7-22) over that stretch with a .440 on-base pct. Brown leads the Bisons with 20 runs scored and six home runs in 42 contests.

Bisons Bits

INF Andy Burns is 12 for his last 34 at the plate for a .353 average. He has four multi-hit performances and seven RBI over the eight-game stretch...RHP Dustin Antolin has recorded a save in each of his last five outings. He has allowed runs in just one of his last 10 outings...INF Jesus Montero brings a five-game hit streak into today's game. He has averaged .400 (8-20) with two doubles, a home run and four RBI since May 19...The Bisons are 14-1 when outhitting their opponent in 2016.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (22-25) were shutout by the Yankees on Tuesday, 6-0. RHP R.A. Dickey struck out seven but allowed four runs over 6.2 innings of work to fall to 2-6 on the season. Toronto had just two hits in the defeat. The Blue Jays take on the Yankees again tonight at 7:05 p.m. in the Bronx. RHP Marco Estrada starts for Toronto.
