
Bisons Add OF Shin-Soo Choo, P James Deters

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that outfielder Shin-Soo Choo and pitcher James Deters have been added to the team's roster. Choo was optioned from Cleveland on Thursday and Deters has been promoted from Single-A Kinston to start for Buffalo tonight in the first game of the team's doubleheader against Pawtucket at Dunn Tire Park (5:05 p.m.)
Choo was recalled to Cleveland on April 23 after reaching base safely in his first 12 games with the Bisons (.294, 10-34, 2 2B, 7RBI, 8BB, 3SB). While with the Indians, Choo played in six games and hit .294 (5-17) with five RBI and five runs scored.
Deters, 23, has spent all of 2007 with the Single-A Kinston Indians of the Carolina League and will be making his Triple-A debut tonight. With Kinston, he is 1-2 with a 3.38ERA in seven games (13.1IP, 16H, 6R, 5ER, 7K). The Indians seventh round pick in the June 2005 draft, Deters led Cleveland's farm system in innings pitched (167.1) last season while going 12-9 with a 3.11ERA in 28 games with Single-A Lake County.
