In a 4-4, seventh-inning tie against Jacksonville left-hander Chris Reed (0-1), Biscuits catcher David Rodriguez reached on an error by Dunand, advanced on a passed ball and Milone's sacrifice and scored on Maris' go-ahead RBI single. Biscuits right-hander Roel Ramirez (2-1) allowed one hit and struck out two batters in the final two scoreless innings of a 5-4 win.

That inning, Milone, Maris and Solak hit consecutive one-out singles, before a walk, single and error made it 9-8. Right-hander Lukas Schiraldi entered and walked Kelly, tying the game, before Brosseau hit a go-ahead grand slam to make it 13-9. Maris' RBI double capped the nine-run inning for Montgomery (6-4, 43-37). Rodriguez hit a three-run double in the fifth inning, and Brosseau added a seventh-inning sacrifice fly.
