
Biscuits Struggle in Double-Digit Loss

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (19-11) allowed a season-high 17 hits in an 11-0 loss to the Huntsville Stars (19-11) Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium. It is the first time this season the Biscuits lost 4-of-5 in a series.
The offense started in the third with an RBI-double from Nick Ramirez who would finish the game with five hits and four runs driven in. Jason Rogers added a two-run homer in the third to give the Stars a 3-0 lead.
Huntsville's offense piled on four runs in fourth, one in the seventh then three runs in the eighth to lead 11-0.
Brent Suter (4-1) was nearly unhittable, going seven shutout-innings and only allowing two hits with seven strikeouts. Suter picked up his fourth win of the season.
Richie Shaffer, Cameron Seitzer and Jeff Malm tallied the only hits for the Biscuits on the night.
The 11-0 loss is the third time the Biscuits have been shutout this season.
The Biscuits will open a five-game series with the Jacksonville Suns on Monday night at 7:05. RH Victor Mateo will get the ball for the Biscuits while the Suns will have RH Anthony DeSclafani on the hill
