MONTGOMERY, AL - The Biscuits (55-57) committed four errors and allowed six unearned runs while stranding 13 runners offensively, and dropped the longest nine inning game in team history by a final of 12-7 to the Mobile BayBears (66-45) Saturday at Riverwalk.

The game lasted 3:50, surpassing the previous record of 3:44 set in 2006. It featured nine pitchers, 413 pitches, 15 walks, 6 errors, and 22 men left on base. The Biscuits left the bases loaded in the first, the third, and the seventh.

The BayBears took control in the middle innings. Two unearned runs scored in the fifth to tie the game at 3-3, and a two-out throwing error from Tim Beckham in the sixth led to four more unearned runs. Mobile scored those six runs with the benefit of one single hit.

The Biscuits would battle back to cut it to 7-6 after seven, but the BayBears responded with a five-run eighth to put the game away.

Neil Schenk (1-2) took the loss, allowing four unearned runs on three walks over two-thirds of an inning. Kyler Newby (7-1) entered the game in relief of Mobile starter Tyler Skaggs after three innings and picked up the win.

Beckham led the Biscuits with a 3-5 night.

Shane Dyer will oppose Bryan Henry Sunday at 6:05 in the series' middle game.
