BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, dropped the second game of a back-to-back with the visiting Texas Legends 104-94 on Friday night at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

A day after setting the franchise record for points in a half with 75 before halftime, the Squadron tallied its second-fewest number of points of the season, including the Showcase portion of the campaign.

Birmingham was led for a second consecutive game by Kelan Martin's 23 points. Zylan Cheatham dropped in 17 points and hauled in 13 rebounds for his first double-double of the regular season. Birmingham's roster featured four double-figure scorers on Friday after seven members of the Squadron scored 10 or more on Thursday.

Grant Riller paced the Legends for a second straight day with 31 points, while Yudai Baba threw in 26 for Texas. The Legends posted just eight points off the bench, using only three reserves in the contest.

Birmingham returns to the court Sunday at 2 p.m. for a nationally televised showdown with G League Ignite on NBA TV. Fans can also watch the game locally on My68 WABM.
