
King's Game-Winner Lifts Coats in OT

WILMINGTON - Louis King hit a game-winning three pointer in overtime to push Delaware past Long Island Friday night at Chase Fieldhouse, 111-108.
The NBA G League's new Target Score Ending was in effect during the extra period, after a 103-103 tie at the end of regulation. The first team to score seven points (110+) would secure the victory. King, in addition to the bucket that hit the target score, had 15 points overall, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists in the game.
Jaden Springer, on assignment from Philadelphia, led the Coats with 24 points on 9-15 shooting and 3-4 from three-point range. Julian Champagnie added 23 points and 12 rebounds on 7-16 shooting and 5-8 from deep. Patrick McCaw chipped in 14 points off the bench.
David Duke Jr. was one of six Nets' to score in double figures tonight, netting 26 points on 10-22 shooting. The other starters to score in double figures were Jordan Bowden with 19, Chris Chiozza with 17, Kaiser Gates with 16. Kameron Hankerson and Kavion Pippen came off the bench and contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Coats will hit the road on Monday to face the Grand Rapids Gold in the first game of a back-to-back set. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. The team returns home again on Friday, January 6 to host the Greensboro Swarm.
