Bud Holloway, who came into the game with 13 goals in 11 games against Portland this season, scored three more and added an assist to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 8-2 win over the Portland Winter Hawks on Saturday night in Key Arena in Seattle.

Greg Scott chipped in four assists for Seattle while rookie defenseman Erik Fleming added two helpers in his first career WHL game. Lindsay Nielson, Brad Haber, Ian McKenzie, Jeremy Boyer and Jim O'Brien added single markers for Seattle. McKenzie's goal came on the power-play.

Portland got a first period goal from Jacob Dietrich and then a power-play goal in the final frame from Daniel Johnston, his first career WHL goal. Matt Schmermund and Radim Valchar assisted on both Portland goals.

Riku Helenius stopped 22 of 24 shots for the victory for Seattle while Kurtis Mucha stopped 22 of 30 in the loss.

Portland finished the game 1 for 4 with the man advantage while Seattle went 1 for 3.

Next up, the Hawks will finish out the regular season with a 5:00 PM start against the Spokane Chiefs at the Memorial Coliseum.
