MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that LHP Kyle Bird has been transferred from A+ Charlotte to the Biscuits.
Bird, 23, was 2-1 with a 0.50 ERA with three saves as the Stone Crabs closer in 2016. He pitched 18 total innings, allowing just one earned run on 11 hits with 22 strikeouts on the young season. This will be Bird's first career stint with Montgomery.
The Biscuits active roster is currently at 24.
