Billy Mottram Named Can-Am League Batter of the Month

DURHAM, NC - Pittsfield Colonials outfielder Billy Mottram has been named the Rawlings Batter of the Month for the month of June in an announcement made by the Can-Am League on Friday.
Mottram hit .375 in June with three homers and 26 RBI in 26 games. He also stole seven bases while scoring 22 runs and collecting 33 hits.
"I'm very thankful," said Mottram. "I've been lucky enough to have guys getting on base in front of me and also to see some good pitches with Mo (Angel Molina) hitting in front of me and Johnny (Welch) hitting behind me."
Along with Mottram, New Jersey pitcher Isaac Pavlik was honored as the pitcher of the month.
