COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Platinum-selling country recording artist Billy Currington, presented by B-93, will headline a country concert at Fifth Third Ballpark on Friday, July 27.

Currington spent most of 2011 with Kenny Chesney's "Goin' Coastal" tour, before kicking off his own headlining tour earlier this year with supporting acts Kip Moore and David Nail (who also performed at Fifth Third Ballpark with Jason Aldean in 2010). Gates open at 6:00pm and the concert will start at 7:00pm.

Since Currington's debut in 2003, he has sold over 11 million CDs, had ten top 10 singles, and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and multiple Country Music Awards (CMAs) and Academy of Country Music Awards. Currington has had seven #1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," "Good Directions," "Don't," "People Are Crazy," "That's How Country Boys Roll," "Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer," and "Let Me Down Easy." He has released four studio albums and, most recently, a compilation album in March of 2011. He's currently working on his fifth studio album.

Tickets to the concert will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 24 at 10:00am. (Field tickets $39.50; Box Seats $30.00; General Admission tickets $20.00) Tickets can be purchased by visiting or calling the Fifth Third Ballpark Ticket Office (616) 784-4131. Tickets are also available online at www.fifththirdballpark.com.

The Currington concert at the ballpark will be held in conjunction with the Great Lakes Truck Show, a N.A.S.T. event. The ninth annual show is making its first appearance at Fifth Third Ballpark after several years at Cabela's in Dundee, MI. The weekend event will be held on July 27, 28 and 29 in the expansive ballpark parking lot.

NAST truck shows are held throughout the United States, allowing the public to get up-close and personal with over-the-road big-rig trucks and their drivers. NAST members accumulate points at shows for winning in different categories such as lights, murals, engines, and paint. Those with the highest scores from the individual shows are then invited to compete in the Truck-Lite Trophy Series at The Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

NAST trucks are generally working show trucks that are usually a few years old. Although NAST trucks may have thousand-dollar paint jobs, interiors with solid wood floors and sleepers that rival million-dollar homes, the vast majority of NAST members will be picking up a load the day after the show and going back to business as usual.
