Bighorns Ring in the New Year with Family Fun

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns are excited to announce that January is Family Month, kicking off 2012 with a variety of events for families to enjoy.

The action packed schedule includes:

January 3rd and 4th - Youth Sports Nights and Reno Bighorns Jr. Dance Clinic

January 6th - Fleece blanket giveaway for the first 1,000 fans

January 9th through 12th - NBA D-League Showcase

January 15th - Kids Club Day

January 20th - Faith and Family Night

Youth Sports Nights will give youth athletes the chance to enjoy a Reno Bighorns game for free. The athletes will receive their free ticket when they come to the game sporting their team jerseys. Reno Bighorns Jr. Dance Clinic will be hosted prior to the games where participants will learn dance technique and routines from the Reno Bighorns Dance Team, and perform a routine during halftime in front of the Bighorns crowd.

Kids Club Day will feature a pregame basketball clinic to all members of the Reno Bighorns Kids Club and each participant will receive a free ticket to the game. The basketball clinic will be run by former University of Nevada star and Harlem Globetrotter Eathan O'Bryant.

Faith and Family Night will welcome families and the faith community to a Reno Bighorns game. The night will include a pregame Fun Fest where attendees can participate in fun activities like "How Do You Measure Up to the Bighorns Players" and "How High Can You Jump." The Fun Fest will also feature a player testimonial and a chance to get pictures and autographs with Bighorns players, Dance Team members and Bruno the Bighorn.
