
Bighorns Out-Shoot the Jam in Overtime Game

RENO, NEV. - The Reno Bighorns traveled to Bakersfield to find themselves in a shootout with the Jam. After five quarters of a back-and-forth game, the Bighorns took the win after topping the Jam 135-131 in overtime.
The Bighorns and the Jam kept the score tight throughout the game, with the Bighorns having only a lead as high 10 point.
Going into the locker room, the Bighorns out-shot the Jam from the field 46% to 39%, and led with a one point lead. In the second half of play, the two teams alternated ties, totaling 13. With 21 seconds on the clock, Andrew Warren netted a three to put the Bighorns in the lead, before the Jam rallied back to tie the score 121-121 at the end of regulation.
With under a minute of play in OT, Brady Heslip sunk back-to-back threes, putting the Bighorns in the lead with two minutes remaining in the fifth quarter. The Bighorns and Jam alternated the lead, before the Bighorns eventually pulled the victory over the jam.
David Stockton fired off a well-rounded stat sheet with team-high points and assists tallying 25 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, and two steals. Stockton is currently second in the NBA Development League for most assists per game.
Ra'Shad James followed Stockton with 23 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists. David Wear added 21 points, and a phenomenal 14 rebounds.
Heslip shot 50% from behind the arc, while netting 21 points, and totaling three assists, and three turnovers.
Renaldo Major led the Jam with 26 points, and 4 assists, while completing four turnovers.
The Bighorns continue on the road, taking on the Los Angeles D-Fenders tomorrow night at 6:30 pm.
