The Everett Silvertips will face two tough opponents this weekend as the Silvertips battle the Vancouver Giants and Tri-City Americans in three pivotal regular season match ups. On Friday night the Silvertips will renew their rivalry with the Vancouver Giants at the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:35 p.m. Everett will hit the road to Kennewick, WA for the first time this season to take on the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night at the Toyota Center at 7:05 p.m. The Silvertips will finish the weekend in Vancouver, BC to face off against the Vancouver Giants at Pacific Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. Sunday's game will be a nationally televised game on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada. Good seats are still available for Friday night's game against the Vancouver Giants at the Everett Events Center. SILVERTIPS LEADING SCORERS
The Silvertips are led in scoring by Zach Hamill (16 goals, 36 assists) with 52 points. Peter Mueller (9 goals, 39 assists) is 2nd on the hockey club in scoring with 48 points. Kyle Beach (21 goals, 19 assists) is 3rd on the team in scoring with 40 points. Mueller currently leads the Silvertips in assists (39) while Moises Gutierrez (23 goals, 12 assists) leads the team in goals scored (23). Silvertips forward Kyle Beach leads the hockey club in +/- with a +13. In goal, Leland Irving has posted 19 wins, 1.57 GAA, 93.7% SP and 6 Shutouts. David Reekie is currently 15-3 with the Silvertips and has posted a 1.43 GAA, 93.6% SP and 3 shutouts with Everett this season.
SILVERTIPS AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS
Silvertips forward Zach Hamill (16 goals, 36 assists) is tied for 7th in the WHL in scoring with 52 points. Peter Mueller (9 goals, 39 assists) is currently tied for 10th in the WHL in scoring with 48 points. Mueller is also 3rd in the WHL in assists (39). First year forward Kyle Beach (21 goals, 19 assists) is 5th in the WHL in rookie scoring with 40 points and is the leading scorer among all 16 year olds in the WHL. Defenseman Jason Fransoo (7 goals, 23 assists) is 8th among all WHL defensemen in scoring with 30 points. Defenseman Jesse Zetariuk (6 goals, 18 assists) is tied for 13th in defensemen scoring with 24 points. In goal, Leland Irving is leading all WHL netminders in GAA (1.57), SP (93.7%), tied for 2nd in Shutouts (6) and 4th in Wins (19). David Reekie is currently 2nd in the WHL in GAA (1.76) and 3rd in SP (92.2%).
SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS
The Everett Silvertips are 1st in the WHL on the power play (74 for 347, 21.3%) and 2nd in the WHL on the penalty kill (281 for 310, 90.6%). The Silvertips have scored 6 shorthanded goals this season and have allowed 5 shorthanded goals in 42 games this season.
SILVERTIPS HOME AND ROAD RECORDS
The Silvertips are 19-1-0-1 at the Everett Events Center this season and 15-6 on the road.
VERSUS THE VANCOUVER GIANTS
Friday night will be the third of six meetings between the two Western Conference rivals. The Silvertips are 2-0 against the Giants this season and 1-0 against Vancouver at the Everett Events Center. Everett is 9-9-2 (OTL) all time against the Giants and 5-4-1 (OTL) all time against Vancouver at the Everett Events Center. The Silvertips are 4-5-1 (OTL) all time against Vancouver at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC. In their last meeting on December 16, the Silvertips defeated the Giants 3-2 (OT) in overtime at the Everett Events Center. VERSUS THE TRI-CITY AMERICANS
Saturday night will be the third of eight meetings between the two US Division rivals. The Silvertips are 2-0 against the Americans this season and 2-0 at the Everett Events Center. Everett is 17-11-2 (OTL)-3 (Ties) all time against the Americans and 7-7-2 (OTL) all time against Tri-City in Kennewick, WA. In their last meeting on November 25, the Silvertips defeated the Americans 5-3 at the Everett Events Center. HAMILL AND ELLINGTON READY FOR PROSPECTS GAME ON WEDNESDAY
Silvertips forward Zach Hamill and defenseman Taylor Ellington will represent the Everett Silvertips at the 2007 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Prospects Game on Wednesday night at Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec at 4:00 p.m. (PST). Hamill will play for Team Pat Burns and Michel Bergeron while Ellington will play for Team Scotty Bowman and Jacques Demers. The game can be seen live on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada.

The Everett Silvertips Hockey Show will be back live on the air from the food court at the Everett Mall on Monday, January 15. Silvertips broadcaster Keith Gerhart will have a Silvertips forward Moises Gutierrez as the main guest on the show. The Silvertips Hockey Show airs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on North Sound 1380 ESPN Radio.
