
Big Third Quarter Propels Clippers Past Stockton

STOCKTON, CA - The Agua Caliente Clippers (3-0) take down the Stockton Kings (2-1), 103-82, to remain undefeated to open their season.
The Clippers outscored the Kings 39-9 in the third quarter, after the Kings held a 52-48 lead at the halftime break. Kings forward Ade Murkey led the way for the team, pouring in 15 points, three boards and one assist in 32 minutes of action. Kings guard Matt Coleman scored 14 points and grabbed four boards and five assist in 35 minutes. Kings two-way center Neemias Queta hit 5-of-6 field goals on his way to netting 10 points in just 32 minutes for Stockton. The Kings allowed the Clippers to lead by as many as 34 points during the second half, while shooting .367 percent from field goal range, .231 percent from three and .400 percent from the free throw line.
The Clippers were paced by forward Serge Ibaka's 21 points, which led all scorers to go along with his nine rebounds and three assist in 28 minutes. Forward George King added 17 points, three boards, two assist and one steal in 22 minutes. Forward Moses Wright scored 15 points, ripped five boards, while also nabbing one steal in 15 minutes for the Clippers. The Clippers forced the Kings into 19 turnovers which allowed for 14 points in their victory. The Clippers also finished the game shooting over .500 percent from field goal range and from behind the arc, while also shooting .75 percent from the free throw line.
