KANNAPOLIS, NC - One big inning proved to be just enough on Saturday night at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium as the Intimidators hung on for a 5-4 win over Lake County.

Kannapolis scored all five of their runs in the second inning off of Captains starter T.J. House. The Intimidators used four hits and a walk to fuel their biggest offensive inning of the season.

Eduardo Escobar had the key hit in the rally-a two-out, two-RBI triple to make it 5-0.

But after the big frame, House (1-2) settled down, going four more innings without allowing a run. Outside of the second, House gave up just one hit.

The outburst came in support of Greg Infante, who needed all the help he could get. Infante (2-0) took the win despite giving up a season-high four runs, three earned, in 5 2/3 innings of work.

Karexon Sanchez made the biggest dent in the Intimidators (14-9) lead, launching a two-run home run off of Infante in the sixth to make it 5-3. Lake County (9-13) added one more run in the inning on a Jeremie Tice RBI single to chase Infante from the game.

But Kannapolis got a pair of strong relief appearances to shut the door. Tyson Corley did not allow a baserunner in his 1 1/3 innings, while Nate Jones got the final six outs for his first save of the season.
