
Berube Reassigned to Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH - The 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have reassigned goaltender Jean-Francois Berube to Manchester, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Berube, 21, has a record of 11-3-1, a 2.34 goals-against-average and a 0.903 save percentage in 17 appearances for the ECHL's Ontario Reign this season. Berube's 2.34 goals-against-average is tied for seventh amongst ECHL netminders. Last season, Berube collected a 17-13-4 record in 37 games including four shutouts during his first professional season. A native of Repentigny, Quebec City, Berube also logged 2,091 minutes, posted a goals-against-average of 2.87 and a 0.907 save percentage for the Reign last season. Berube earned his first professional win in his American Hockey League debut on April 2, 2010 during a three game stint with the Monarchs at the end of the 2009-10 season. In three games with the Monarchs, Berube owns a 2-1-0 record, a 3.67 goals-against-average, and a 0.855 save percentage. Berube was drafted by the Kings in the fourth-round (95th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-1, 174-pound netminder collected a 32-7-8 record in 50 appearances while registering a 2.60 goals-against-average and a 0.902 save percentage for the Montreal Juniors of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the 2010-11 season. In three seasons (2008-11) with the Juniors, Berube finished with a 55-37-10 record, a 2.77 goals-against-average and a 0.901 save percentage in 115 appearances.
