JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Birmingham Barons at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.

Outfielder Joe Benson was transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Benson was just added to the Zephyrs roster on Monday, where he was 0-for-7 batting at the plate in five games. With the Suns in 61 games Benson hit .277 with five homers and 31 RBI.

The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns and Barons will be back at it on Saturday night, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Suns will send out left-hander Justin Nicolino (6-2, 3.38) while the Barons will counter with right-hander Myles Jaye (0-6, 6.32).
